Ida Duke Miles
(Webster 1984) Soft yellow with a small green throat and waves of ruffles. Beautiful, distinctive and a consistent performer.

Lavender Memories
(Stamile 1990) A fine, clear lavender of round and ruffled form. Very popular due to its colour. The flowers sometimes "spot" or "streak" (suffer some loss of pigment) possibly because of insect or water damage, although this is usually slight. Benefits from some extra care and attention but well worth growing, as grown to perfection it really is beautiful. Few only.

Ming Lo
(Fischer 1967) Very pale cream-yellow flowers with elongated petals. This is a daylily that deserves to be better known, producing a multitude of exotic looking flowers. Not a "spider", nor consistently an "Unusual Form" (although it is certainly unusual) but associates well with these groups. Jan chose it to use in a bouquet for a special friend. Now very rare.

Ming Porcelain
(Kirchhoff 1982) A creamy pink peach blend, with a yellow halo and a green throat. Remarkable for its texture which is like fine porcelain. A strong grower and prolific bloomer, this is a fine daylily and a good parent for breeding. L.A.A. 2001.

Nivia Guest
(Munson 1984) A vibrant burgundy purple with a small yellow green throat. In hot weather a subtle chalky plum eyezone is visible. The form is round and slightly flared with some ruffling. Tall scapes hold the flowers well clear of the foliage. Although the height was registered as 24", it was listed as 32" in Mr Munson’s catalogue which confirms our own observations.

Nosferatu
(Hanson 1990) A fine deep royal purple, full, ruffled flower with a chartreuse throat. The scapes are strong and well branched, producing many buds. One of the top purples.

Prairie Blue Eyes
(Marsh 1970) One of the best known daylilies, this star shaped lavender purple has a greenish yellow throat and a faint, darker, eyezone or halo. A good performer in the garden and always one of our best sellers. The eye is more prominent in hot weather but in this country at least, the blue is only in the name. At the time, however, it was seen as a step in that direction.
